Cold Brew!

Smooth, bold, and refreshingly simple - Cold brew is the ultimate warm-weather coffee. Made by steeping coarse coffee grounds in cold water for an extended time, it’s less acidic than hot coffee and naturally sweeter. Whether you sip it black or dress it up, cold brew is an easy, delicious way to get your caffeine fix at home.
- 1 cup coarsely ground coffee
- 4 cups cold, filtered water
- Ice (for serving)
- Optional: milk, cold foam, or sweetener of choice for serving
- Coarsely grind your coffee beans (you’ll want a texture similar to raw sugar)
- Combine 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee with 4 cups of cold, filtered water in a large jar or jug
- Stir gently to make sure all the grounds are fully saturated
- Cover and let it steep in the fridge (or at room temp) for 12–18 hours
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve, cheesecloth, or coffee filter to remove the grounds
- Serve over ice, diluted with water or milk to taste
- Store the concentrate in the fridge for up to a week
